I have lived in Lancaster for 39 years and my children attended Lancaster Schools. My husband grew up on a farm, so needless to say, we had to have animals. We have had cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and horses. That is beside our dogs, which have ranged from Dalmatians to Bichon Frise. We bred both and sold more puppies than I care to think about! When I was in school, education was less complicated than it is today. But, I must say the challenges of this new common core is stretching the children's minds to go above and beyond! It is amazing how the students are being exposed to higher level thinking on a daily basis. It is very exciting for me as an educator to be part of this strive for excellence movement!
