When a student of any age is removed from class by a teacher for disruptive behavior, or a student of compulsory attendance age is suspended from school pursuant to Education Law Section 3214, the District will take immediate steps to provide alternative means of instruction for the student. This instruction shall be of an equivalent nature to that provided in the student's regularly scheduled class and shall be provided by a certified teacher. The District shall act promptly, with due regard for the nature and circumstance of the particular case.
