• Introduction to AIS Elementary Grades 4-6

    Academic Intervention Services (AIS) is designed to help students achieve the NYS Learning Standards. This is accomplished through additional instruction that supports the general curriculum or by addressing barriers to improved academic performance.

  • High Intensity Need:

    4-5 times per week

    Measures and Evidence/Related Criteria:

    Below Cut Score on NYS ELA (3-5)

    Level 1 or NI or D/F on Local Assessment (varies with rubric used)

    Below 10th percentile on FastBridge

    RTI Team Recommendation

    Moderate Intensity Need:

    2-3 times per week

    Measures and Evidence/Related Criteria:

    Below Cut Score on NYS ELA (3-5)

    Below 30th percentile on FastBridge
