Leadership Academy Alumni
“Just like the branches on a tree, we grow in different directions, yet our roots remain the same.”
Lancaster Leadership Academy alumni have started to go on and make positive differences all across our country. We are now trying to reconnect with all of you. We want to know where you are and what you are doing…
Our goal is to collect and as much information about you to use as a resource for our present students and as a way that you can all stay connected.
Think of it this way…so we have a junior who is looking at colleges, this youngster is interested in Delaware University. We then direct this student to your Alumni webpage with all of your information. Low and behold this student sees that RT (Rachel Travis) went there and now this student can contact Rachel and learn all about being a Blue Hen. Internships, possible fields of study, places to visit…the opportunities can go in millions of different directions.

Lancaster Leadership Academy Alumni:"Leadership gave me the skills to get where I am - I still put it on resumes and still get a lot of interest. When I run hall council projects, everyone scrambles to put together 100 person events, but with everything we did at LHS it's a cakewalk for me. Running events and programs is much more easy for me than folks without this experience, and LLA really set me up for success here!"
Gabriella Folsom - Class of 2016; American University- Political science, History, Russian Language
“ I’m so thankful for my experience in LLA. This academy teaches students effective communication, collaboration with peers and adults, and independence in learning. Developing these skills in high school prepared me for the demands of living on my own at college and conquering a rigorous academic schedule. Entering college, I felt ahead of my peers in my writing, communicating, and time management abilities. I truly believe the transition the transition to college was smoother for me because of the leadership classes I took in high school. Not only this, but through LLA I’ve developed genuine friendships that remain strong and bring me so much joy. I’ll forever be grateful to have gone to LHS and been apart of this wonderful program."
Micheala Morgus- Class of 2019; University at Buffalo- Mathematics and Education
“Without a doubt, if it wasn’t for the Leadership Academy, I would not be who I am or where I am today. As I went through the classes & experiences that the academy has to offer, I discovered a passion for public speaking, event planning, serving others and holding a leadership position. While in college , I have joined clubs such as Camp Courage Crew, which helps plan and run a dance marathon in support of Camp Good Days. I also have become a member of the Campus Programming Board, which helps run a variety of events each semester for students. I had so much fun and learned so much from my time in the Leadership Academy, and it overall has helped me become a more organized, outgoing and positive individual.”
