Miss Boldt's Expectations
In our classroom, the students have been learning about having a growth mindset. If we do not know how to do something, we do not give up, we say "We can not do this YET!" In helping students to think this way, we are learning that our mistakes help us grow, we can use strategies to help us solve problems, and we can always get better.
It is my expectation for the students to always try their best. Even ifsomething is hard, we do not want to give up, we always want to try our best. Within the first week of school we have read books that have helped to reinforce these ideas, and the students are quickly learning how to change their thinking and why this is important.
