    Post your thoughts/opinions on the following:
    Given the greater emphasis on DWI and health in the 21st century, do you think Prohibition would work today?
     
    Think about other things that people/government want to ban (like New York City's soda size law!). Why do you think regulating something for the "public good" will work or fail? If they outlawed chocolate, how many of you would break the law, and why would you think that is OK?

  • Treatment of Native Americans

    Explain your feelings on the treatment of Native Americans in the 1800s. What do you think would be the reaction in America if a group were treated with such prejudice today?

     

    Also, comment on the different treatment that Native Americans and African Americans have received from white America over the last 150 years. Why/how were they treated differently?
