I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 1989 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Psychology.  I worked for a family business for the next six years til in 1996 when I went back to teaching.  In 1998 I was hired by Lancaster Central School District and started as a kindergarten teacher.  I taught kindergarten for four years before I moved up to third grade.  While teaching third grade from 2002-2004 I received my Masters in Elementary Education with a concentration in curriculum writing.  In 2005 I made the jump to first grade and really enjoyed the grade level for a number of years. Six years ago John A. Sciole was going to be cutting a first grade due to enrollment so I decided to take the opportunity to come back to third grade and make the move closer to my house by coming to Como Park.
I  recently moved to Marilla with my husband (Ken) and son (Zakary).  Zakary is a eighth grader at Iroquois Middle School.  I love reading, riding horses and spending time with my family.  I love teaching with the hopes that the state can find its way back to seeing that children are children and shouldn't be tested so hard.  I try to find a happy medium in my classroom remembering they are children for fourth grade.
