Essex Arts Center
Essex Art Center - With the financial support of our PTO and our Young Masters fundraising project (formerly Square One Art) the WSS art teachers are able to offer our 6th graders the experience of working with professional artists through an outreach program run through the Ashford Hollow Foundation. This foundation is an organization that sends teaching artists into schools to give students insight into the world of metal sculpture.  The foundation oversees three facets which include the facilities at the Essex Arts Center (where the metal sculptures are made), Griffis Sculpture Park, and the outreach artists-in-residence programs.
Below are some images from our time spent learning about metal working.
