Hello!  My name is Amy Rivera and I am very excited to be part of the team at John A. Sciole Elementary!  I am especially happy to be your child’s teacher, and am looking forward to a year full of learning and fun!

I’d like to begin by telling you a little about myself.  I graduated from D’Youville College with a dual Undergraduate Degree in Special and Elementary Education, and from Medaille College with a Master’s Degree in Literacy. I have been happily teaching for 23 years!  Wow, that flew by! My husband and I are proud parents of three wonderful and busy children - Madeline, Kevin, and Grace. I am a soccer mom, hockey mom, and swim mom! In my free time I enjoy reading, biking, and relaxing at our cottage near the beach.  We have a great year ahead of us!  This promises to be an exciting year for your child, filled with new independence and increasing abilities.
