    Basic EHS Member Expectations & Requirements (Before application, you should know the following):

    1. Check the EHS at LHS Google Classroom site for updates on a weekly basis- This is your responsibility as an Active Member;
    2. Attend most of the 8-10 General Membership Meetings- Held monthly from 2:30-3:00/3:10pm (Officers 2:20-3:20pm), from September thru May; Days & Dates (TBD) are released annually the first week of September.  General Membership Meetings generally count for one (1) Attendance Credit, and members will lose their "Active Membership Status" if they do not make at least three (3) meetings per semester, or if they accumulate two (2) UNEXCUSED absences over the year (one may be made up).  Three (3) UNEXCUSED absences within a school year will result in automatically being dropped from the club;
    3. Attendance Credits; You must earn eight (8) Total Attendance Credits per semester.  Additional Attendance Credits are earned through participation in EHS Club Sponsored Activities/Events, Fundraising, LHS Volunteerism, and Community Service;
    4. You must maintain BOTH an OVERALL Merit Roll Status, and an OVERALL 90+ average in ELA, per SEMESTER;
    5. Continue to demonstrate honorable and appropriate character and leadership both in and out of school;
    6. While it is not a strict requirement, the expectation is that you will register for at least one, if not both, AP English Courses;
    7. We also have reinstated annual club membership dues of $10, which are due by 10/1 of each year in order to maintain "Active Membership Status".  ***Please note that the annual dues themselves only partially cover the costs of graduation honor cords, honor pins, certificates, supplies, and three annual celebrations.  Optional events, potential t-shirt/SWAG orders, book club orders, and/or future prospective membership & registration with the NEHS will require additional contributions and fundraising.***
