    Treat each other with respect
    Raise your hand before you speak
    One person speaks at a time
    Use listening ears when others are speaking
    Participate in all music activities
    Be prepared for music
    Bring a pencil, music folder filled with lined paper and recorder
    Play instruments only when invited

    General Music Rubric

    Students in General Music receive a grade at the end of the 2nd quarter (January) and at the end of the 4th quarter (June).
    All skills and tasks will be evaluated using the following criteria.
    Skills will fall under these general categories: singing, recorder playing, rhythm clapping and instrument playing.
    Students will also be graded on being prepared for class and appropriate participation during classroom activities.
    4 – Above Grade Level
    The student always demonstrates the above Skills.
    The student is always prepared and appropriately participates in activities
    3 – At Grade Level
    The student usually demonstrates the above skills.
    The student is usually prepared and appropriately participates in activities.
    2 – Approaching Grade Level
    Student sometimes demonstrates above skills.
    The students is prepared and appropriately participates in activities some of the time.
    1 – Below Grade Level
    The student never demonstrates above skills.
    The student is never prepared and appropriately participates in activities.
