As Andrew Krazmien was appointed to serve as the Lancaster Central School District’s Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Pupil Personnel Services, he told the district’s Board of Education that Lancaster was “an incredibly special place.”
“At all times, we're thinking about what are the different things we can do for the 5,500 kids that are in this district,” he said. “Your kids, my kids, all of our kids. That is the mantra that really makes us go forward.”
Krazmien, appointed during the November 4, 2024 Board of Education meeting, has served the district as Director of Secondary Education since 2018. Prior to that, Krazmien served as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction & Technology as well as an Assistant Principal in the Lewiston-Porter Central School District. He also served as a social studies teacher in the Maryvale Central School District.
Andrew Kufel, Ph.D., Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Pupil Personnel Services, praised Krazmien’s character during the Board of Education meeting and described him as both passionate about the district and well-respected by faculty, staff and colleagues.
“He has the vast knowledge of the district and understanding of where we're going and the plan for how to get there,” Kufel said. “Most importantly he is student-focused and willing to make tough decisions for our students.”
Krazmien graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History & Political Science from Canisius University, Buffalo. He also holds a master's degree in Social Studies Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he also obtained his Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration.
