Marching Legends to Honor 2011 & 2013 State Champions as Part of the 23rd Annual Lancaster Revelry

The Lancaster High School Marching Legends and Band Boosters will present the 23rd Annual Lancaster Revelry on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Foyle-Kling Field. The event is one of four New York State Field Band Conference competitions taking place that day across New York State.

This year’s Revelry will also include a special recognition of Lancaster’s 2011 and 2013 state championship marching bands. Alumni who performed in the 2011 field show, The Birds, and the 2013 field show, A Soldier’s Creed, are invited to take the field at 6:40 p.m. to be recognized. Two four-foot plaques honoring the championship bands will also be unveiled and permanently mounted above the concession window in the north end zone of Foyle-Kling Field.

The Lancaster Marching Band’s 2026 field show is titled AlgoRhythm. In a world shaped by algorithms and filtered realities, the show explores the rise of an intelligent digital force that begins as a helpful guide but soon reveals its grip on our perception. Musical selections include In the Hall of the Mountain by Edvard Grieg; America the Beautiful and Turn! Turn! Turn! by Samuel A. Ward and Pete Seeger; and Another Brick in the Wall by Roger Waters, based on the Alok and Sevenn version, with original music by Matt Hightower and Josh Powell.

AlgoRhythm will feature many of Lancaster’s finest student musicians and performers on woodwinds, brass, percussion and color guard, as well as featured instrumental soloists. The Marching Legends are led on the field by drum majors Leah Knaub and Lauren Lazzaro. At the conclusion of the competition, 15 senior members of the Marching Legends will be recognized for their years of participation and dedication.

Other school bands participating in the competition include Le Roy, West Seneca, Orchard Park and Corning-Painted Post. The Hamburg Kingsmen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps will help conclude the evening’s performances with an exhibition appearance at 8:05 p.m.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more information, email jseymour@lancasterschools.org.
