VIDEO: Lancaster Class of 2024 Celebrates Graduation
The Lancaster High School Class of 2024 took to the stage at the Keybank Center as they marked their graduation and celebrated their future plans.
This year’s class of 416 seniors was credited with building strong relationships around the school and Lancaster community, and for pursuing excellence in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. Students in this year’s class received a total of $9.1 million in scholarships, and were awarded more than 4,000 college credits. Additionally, a record 31 students graduated with the New York State Seal of Biliteracy.
Among the speakers was valedictorian Taylor Goodyear, salutatorian Tyler Kyzy, and senior class representative Kelly Root. The evening also included performances from the LHS Symphonic Band and Concert Choir.

Students at William Street School had a chance to kick off the fall as they watched their teachers run a relay race while wearing inflatable suits.

Students in AP Psychology class at Lancaster High School had a chance to ask questions and think about the preparation needed to be at their best as they heard from former Buffalo Sabres goalie Martin Biron.

Students at Como Park Elementary School got their hands dirty as they harvested fruits, vegetables and flowers that they planted earlier in the year in the school’s garden.

With Lancaster High School alumnus Joe Andreessen preparing for his first game as a member of the Buffalo Bills, students across our buildings and even some of his former teachers came together to wish him well.
