Welcome to Career Development and Occupational Studies!

Hello! My name is Jillian Dean, and I am the Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) Coordinator for Lancaster and Clarence High Schools.

Obtaining a Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) Commencement Credential certifies that a student demonstrates work-readiness skills for entry-level employment. The majority of students who are working towards earning this credential are receiving this certificate in addition to their Regents Diploma.

Pathways are individualized based on each student, their interests, and programming. The most common pathway includes participation in an internship and a series of Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses.

Students participating in CTE Programming through BOCES programs such as Harkness or Potter or an academy with an internship through our high school will be eligible to earn the CDOS Credential.

Please contact me at 716-686-3255 ext. 9985 or by email at jdean@lancasterschools.org if you would like any additional information or have any questions!
