Miss Kathleen Wilson

  •  About Miss Wilson

It is hard to believe this is my eleventh year teaching Family and Consumer Science here at Lancaster High School! Prior to this experience, I taught both Health Education and Family and Consumer Science courses at Tonawanda High School for eight years.

I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Buffalo State College, completed a post graduate internship in Nashville, Tennessee and obtained the credentials of Registered Dietitian. I worked for many years as a dietitian in an acute care/hospital setting with Kaleida Health and Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, in Dallas, Texas. Furthermore, I spent three years working as the campus nutritionist at Syracuse University. I returned to Buffalo State College and obtained a Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education, and I am also a certified personal trainer, spinning instructor, and TRX instructor.

I teach several elective classes here at Lancaster High School including Food and Nutrition and Food and Culture, as well as Fitness and Food. Additionally, I am the Family and Consume Science Department Chair, Director of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, Co-Advisor for the Daily Grind coffee shop, and a member of the Building Planning Team.
