    Peter Herrscher

I am in my thirteenth year as a high school business teacher at Lancaster High School. Prior to teaching at LHS, I taught for four years at Jamestown HIgh School.  Prior to teaching, I worked in the business world as a Marketing and Sales Consultant with LSI Solutions, a medical device company in Rochester, NY. The Business Department at LHS is thriving! I am currently Business Department Chair and teach Entrepreneurship, Business Planning and Academy of Finance courses. With a great team of teachers plus tremendous district and community support, the LHSAOF has reached NAF’s Distinguished Status each year since 2011.  From the creation of a self-sustaining, independent and vibrant advisory board to a fully functioning work-based-learning program, 100% of students (75 per year) at Lancaster’s AOF complete a paid internship each year. It is not uncommon for three or four advisory board members visiting classrooms each week as they implement a variety of work based learning programs. Our goal is to prepare our students to be Future Ready!

      Student Expectations

      Assignments and Project Learning

Students are responsible to ensure all classroom requirements are satisfied, especially during an absence.  Assignments are posted in Google classroom. Grades are updated regularly but, at minimum, once every 5 weeks.

      Professionalism

Students are expected to build habits and skills within my classroom to prepare themselves for College and Career success. Therefore, students must strive to act professionally at all times.
