    Sports in Literature

    Effective Communication for Leaders

     

    English III

    Students will study American Literature though the lens of several pieces of literature. Work will be done to prepare students for the NY State Regents Examination in June. Possible units of study include Of Mice and Men, The Great Gatsby, The Crucible, All My Sons, and The Road. Poetry and short stories will also be covered, as well as a self-selected literature piece. Supplies needed: Folder/Binder, Spiral Notebook, Pens, Paper. All grades can be found on the Student/Parent Portal. Remind: 81010 @ambrose238

     

    Sports in Literature

    Students will discover various genres of writing as they relate to sports. Units of study may include Definition of Sport, Hazing, Title IX, Out-Of-Control Fans, and PED Use. Students will also work on skills needed for the NYS Regents Exam and for college-level English classes. This elective class counts for .5 credits and runs for a half-year. Supplies: Folder/Binder, Pens, Paper. All grades can be found on the Student/Parent Portal.
