EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION I & II

This program provides an in-depth study of Early Childhood Care & Education, (birth-9 years), including related managerial skills, curriculum writing, developmental theory and application. Students will observe, participate in, and develop a variety of activities for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and young children. Competence in beginning for job skills will be stressed, and practiced in a variety of hands on situations both on and off site. Students will be ready to enter the job market as teacher aides or may apply for colleges. Students will create a professional portfolio, work in an on-site preschool and research a variety of early childhood topics.
